Independent coverage of business software — reviews, guides, and news that say what’s actually true.
Apex Business Tech is an independent publication covering the software businesses actually run on. Reviews that name one pick per category. Guides that answer the question, not pad a word count. News that gives you context, not a press release rewrite. Researched rigorously against documentation, public benchmarks, and aggregated user feedback — ranked by merit, not by commercial arrangement.

How a recommendation gets onto this site
-
01
Scope the category
We list every tool currently sold in the category and write down the three questions a buyer actually asks. The list trims itself when we filter for “still maintained,” “has English support,” and “publicly priced.”
-
02
Research against the questions, not the marketing
For each tool we gather the same evidence: documentation, public pricing, vendor demo content, independent user reports, third-party benchmarks where available. We score against the buyer’s questions, then write what we wish the product page had told us up-front.
-
03
Name one pick, then two alternates
One recommendation per category. Then the two situations where the recommendation is wrong, and which tool we’d pick instead. If your situation isn’t in either list, the recommendation stands.
-
04
Re-audit every six months
Prices change. Features ship. Companies get acquired. Every recommendation has a “last reviewed” date that means what it says.
About Apex Business Tech
Apex Business Tech is an independent site that compares business software for small and mid-sized teams. We cover CRM, marketing automation, project management, SEO tools, and AI writing platforms: the categories operators are choosing and paying for right now.
What we do
Software vendors spend heavily on marketing. A lot of review sites earn more from their placements than from being accurate. We’d rather be useful.
Our research process: we read vendor documentation, analyse independent benchmarks and expert analysis, and cross-reference verified user reviews. We don’t claim to test every product hands-on. What we do is give you a direct read on who a tool is right for, who it isn’t, and which tradeoffs change the decision.
What we cover
- AI writing and productivity tools
- CRM and sales software
- SEO and marketing software
- Project management, accounting, and email marketing
How we make money
Apex Business Tech earns affiliate commissions when readers click a link and buy a product. You pay nothing extra. Our rankings are not for sale. A product’s commission rate has no bearing on where it places in our comparisons. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Who we are
We are not affiliated with any software vendor and do not provide consulting. Our reviews draw on published vendor documentation, third-party benchmarks, expert analysis, and aggregated user feedback. We write for operators, marketers, and founders who need reliable information to make software decisions.
